Why Burnout Can be Good for You

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

conflict frustrated man with paperI hope that I got your attention with this title.  We all know that burnout can be very harmful if we don’t pay attention to our stress levels.  We get sick or even chronic illness “suddenly” appear in our life.  There are times when burnout can be a positive indication… to listen to your body and most importantly…decide what you NEED to change in your life.

I’m starting Arianna Huffington’s new book, Thrive:  The Third Metric to Redefining Success and Creating A Life of Well-Being, Wisdom, and Wonder.  She talks about the importance of looking at our life and the time that we actually spend taking care of our needs.  I will report back to you after I read it.

In the mean time please look at my short video on “New Facts About Stress.”  Click here to view the video.  Let me know what speaks to you and how you have learned to take care of yourself after you have burned out.  All you have to do is go to the bottom on this blog post and there is a comment section for you to place your words of wisdom.

I see it may be OK to let a few less profitable or problem clients go by referring them out. We have been wrestling with this for a year and never thought about giving them to a competitor. Thanks for sharing how you did it.

Great hearing from you, Al. I’m finding that this one technique is allowing me to concentrate on my clients to serve them better plus I get to take time to enjoy life a bit more. I sure wish I figured this one strategy years ago. I appreciate you comments. Keep them coming!
