Brennan O’Leary, MBA – Senior HR Professional, has an interesting perspective on workplace bullying.
The video link in this post is a short clip from a longer interview with Brennan on my Live Broadcast Show: Kick Conflict to the Curb.
I promise to add many more clips from this engaging interview!
Take-a-ways to Deal with Workplace Bullying
- The bully may have something going on at home and is taking it out at work.
- We need to be adaptable to understand people.
- Putting ourselves in others’ shoes is a skill that’s worth learning.
- Being open-minded gives better results during tough conversations.
- Honest conversations are the best way to work through conflict.
These ideas are all easy to put to use. I suggest that you select one or two steps and start implementing them. You will see your conflict reduced, especially with workplace bullies.
Thanks to Brennan O’Leary for such an engaging interview. I will invite him back to the show!
