Does Your Team Have These Unspoken Expectations?

Now that your team is effectively communicating with each other, let’s discuss several “unspoken” expectations. These tips will improve your group cohesion once you implement the ideas.

Teams can communicate when they fully understand all expectations! Clarify these points:

My team:

  • Will give me constructive feedback
  • Won’t criticize me in front of my coworkers
  • Will know how much work I can handle before I feel too much stress, or start turning out substandard work

I am making an attempt reduce our energy costs for our township hall. After requesting an energy audit for the last 2 years and having the motion voted down, I attended the MTA conferance in January and by chance had breakfast with a supervisor from another township. He explained to me that they had just received an energy grant for over $50,000 to upgrade their office. I contacted the clerk that applied for and recieved the grant. He has sent me all the information on the grant request along with all the RFP proposals. He then sent me all the details of what the grant covered along with the money recieved. I contacted the energy office and asked if there was any reason we could not have received such a grant if we applied for it. The answer was yes we could have. I am waiting for more information from the energy office on future grant monies. Any suggestion on how to present this information once complete? Dale Westrick Serving the people that elected me
