Feeling stuck when resolving conflict is one of the biggest issues that most of us face.
Recognizing the fact that you’re feeling stuck is #1. Now how in the world to resolve this conflict?
The next few blog posts cover actual case scenarios shared by colleagues or clients such as:
- Micromanagers
- Bullies
- Not feeling heard
- Inner stress of Human Resource Professionals
- Imposter Syndrome (Am I good enough?)
This week’s topic is what to do when you’re feeling stuck in a job or career.
Asking “What Else” when You’re Feeling Stuck
This case scenario is something that I experienced a couple of years ago. Hey, those of you who know of my work realize that I’m as real as they come. You hear of my own challenges and how I resolve them because it’s important to me to relate with others as a human being! 😊
I was working with a coach, and I told her that I wanted to find an entirely new client base since I was transitioning from keynote speaking to honing my coaching skills.
My issue was that all the social networking posts didn’t work. Additionally, no one commented and I knew that I needed to do something new.
The coach asked me, “Joyce what do you need to do?” I said, “make my emails stronger”. She asked, “what else?”
She kept on asking me “what else” for about 30 minutes.
The answer appeared when I realized that I needed to start sharing all the services that I offer as a communication and conflict resolution coach. None of us want to be the best-kept secret, right?
This was huge for me. I was giving solid content. And, readers didn’t really know how I could help them.
I stopped feeling stuck and I’m now sharing solid content plus sprinkling in my services.
