Easy Work-Life Balance Tips: Help Your Employees Juggle It All

Do you want to help your employees juggle it all? Or do you want to discover practical and easy ideas to add to your personal life?

After working for the same software company for several years, Sue, a young professional moved 90 minutes away from the organization.

Sue didn’t want to resign. Additionally, the grueling commute sounded horrible to her. Sue proposed that she could come into the office just one day a week. Working the rest of the week from home sounded like a plan. The company leadership agreed.

Sue found a mutually agreeable solution. Besides this it allowed her to achieve a work-life balance. Unfortunately, many employees in the same situation wouldn’t feel comfortable making such a request.

The 3 Tips Below Will Help Employees Discover How to Juggle it All

And you can help your organization do just that. The 3 tips below will get you started.

1. Find Out What Coworkers and Employees Need juggle it all

Some workers might want a more flexible office schedule and need a compressed workweek. And others are looking into job-sharing options or resources for child or eldercare.

Also, employees may want healthy workplace initiatives. Such as on-site exercise classes, wellness lectures, or one-on-one coaching sessions.

What can you do?

Form a work-life committee to survey people and find out their needs. Employees can then recommend ways the organization might help employees juggle it all.

2. Relieving the Pressure of Overtime Demands to Juggle it All

When demands become rigorous, everyone suffers.

What can you do?

Do something special for coworkers and employees. For example, provide a birthday dessert bar or an appreciation campaign. Suggest that dedicated people get an afternoon off. And everyone will be rewarded with a newly refreshed coworker.

3. Setting an Example

juggle it allPeople who don’t take time for themselves feel more stressed. And consequently, become less productive at work.

What can you do?

Don’t begrudge people their personal time. Encourage others in showing the proper work-life balance. In fact, when your boss leaves at 5:00 p.m. to see her son’s soccer game, realize that this is a good thing.
