The power of persistence is the theme of this week’s blog post.
The American Heritage Dictionary defines PERSISTENCE as ” To hold firmly to a purpose despite obstacles, warnings, or setbacks.”
I knew you would receive a future blog post from me, the moment I found this quote by Buddha.
I hope it speaks to you as loudly as it speaks to me.
How I Used the Power of Persistence in My Life
There are so many times when I refused to give in to setbacks:
- My marriage – all the persistence worked 🙂
- Marketing to clients on the benefits of Kick Conflict to the Curb – a 6-week virtual course
- Overcoming a lifetime fear of deep water so I could snorkel in Bora Bora
- Getting back into my career after 3,000 people walked out of the keynote program
I promise to write articles on each one of these “setbacks.”
How Have You Used the Power of Persistence in Your Life?
Think about your own experience. Can you think of a time that you had to overcome obstacles and setbacks yet the power of persistence kept you going?
When was this and what kept the momentum moving forward and not quitting?
Let’s start another contest, dear blog readers! I’m sending the first 2 people who share their story in the comment section or send me a private email an autographed copy of my book, Take the Ride of Your Life!
